I have come to regard whatever Sri KN Shashikiran touches as of high standard. The interesting combos will be a real treat.
Sankara TV is at best a mixed blessing. They will throw umpteen highly irritating advts and breaks and program switches at the viewers with scant regard for the artistes or the level of aesthetic experience

A pre-season phenomenon, Bharath Sangeet Utsav is getting as big as the season itself. Organizer of immense energy and imagination--Sashikiran adds sparks to the dIpAvali scene by announcing this impressive line up...
All the best for this extravaganza. Hope the hall is filled every day, for every program

That is nice to hear . Few years before there were posts that Lalgudi siblings have to play with other popular vocalist and not just play violin concerts . Karaikudi mani is like a haley's comet and i am assuming after abhishek -KM combo in london this is the next one.Vocalist wrote: 4.45 p.m

Lalgudi GJR Krishnan certainly accompanied many very senior artists like SSI, DKJ, TVS, TNS, and Maharajapuram Santhanam. I am not sure about too many "younger" vocalists he has accompanied, but there is a bit of a family connection in this choice: his cousin's son (or LGJ's sister's grandson) is Abhishek Raghuram.rajeshnat wrote: That is nice to hear .
