Parlandu Award and Parivadini Series 2016

With great pleasure we announce the Fernandes (Parlandu) Award of Excellence to Mr. UVK Ramesh - a Ghatam maker from Manamadurai.

This year we although have a shortened version of our yearly series, we believe we have managed to line up several exciting concerts. We are sure that we will be back to our full fledged version in 2017.

Dear Rasikas,

First of all, thanks to the ones who have kindly chosen to donate for our cause. It is only through such acts of generosity we are able to do this year after year. We hardly have corporate sponsorship. It is only interested individuals who bolster us. Thanks you once again.

There is a slight change in the event.

The yearly Parlandu Award function and Dr. Karthik's lecdem will be held at the Vivekananda Hall in the P.S High school and not at Raga Sudha Hall as we had announced earlier. Rest of the concerts will be at Raga Sudha Hall.

Can you please explain what is an UPI ID?

Rough analogy - an Unified Payment Interface (UPI) VPA (Virtual Private Address) - is something similar to a email address that can be used to send payments. This helps in not having to remember account #, ifsc code etc. and makes it easier for sender/receiver both. So, if UBI is already UPI ready, you could create a VPA for this account in UBI (parvadini@ubi) and that can be used by others to send money through UPI interface.

We are happy to share with you the news that donations made to Parivadini Charitable Trust are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G effective July 2016. We will be shortly issuing the necessary receipts for the donors. We thank you one more time for choosing to help our cause.
