While RaGa (coined by Arasi, IIRC) for Smts. Ranjani and Gayatri was very organic and appropriate given the context, MaBros sounds like we're in the cigarette endorsing business now!

Nope, not the artists, but the contraction of their name to MaBros is rather close to Marlboros (pronounced quickly as mAlbrOs) - the point being that not all names can be shortened in a way that is both pithy and organic.....
