The vocalist for this concert is TMK's student from the US. Her concert followed G Ravikiran's concert, but I missed his - TMK did not stay for her concert. I expected her concert would be shorter but was pleasantly surprised.
Her singing reminded me of a younger Sowmya in the whole but with a slightly more lively voice. voice is as beautiful as her personality. All that is left is for her to learn more Tamil compositions which will help with her pronuniation too. Kruthi Bhat played tanpura and was paying close attention - good on her.
The concert was particularly nice from Suddhaseemanthini and onwards. Violinist played well, but I have heard him play better. I did see him follow me to BGS afterwards (though it could be said I followed him as he was set to perform there immediately after this concert). Mridangam did well with his solo. The devaranama was rendered very well.
A promising young artist; I wish her all the best!
