It was a very good concert. His Begada had the punch, clarity and beautiful. He did not repeat similar phrases while elaborating Begada ragam proved this vidwat snd smartness. I thoroughly enjoyed his concert.

Kudos for taking up begada and making a fine main out of it. Thani went on a bit too long and put him in a time crunch for the RTP. Plus the fact that he took up swaras before trikalam did not help. The trikalam was done in a sort of rushed manner and I think vilamba kalam was skipped.

Thanks Raachi for the review. RKM seems to be maturing and blossoming into a wonderful musician every year. I was told his begada was top notch. Also couple of my friends who attended said his y'kalyani at the end was a fitting finale. In fact this rasika said it haunted him for a long time. I read the lyrics of this song in FB and man must say what a beautiful meaning.. This year all the young guns were total paisa vasool. Carnatic Music indeed has a good future
