Notation for Lalgudi Varnam in Hamir Kalyani

As far as I know there is no such varNa. He has composed only a tillAnA in this rAgA. Where did you hear this?

As far as I know, this beautiful varnam had been composed by Lalgudi Sir quite recently. (May be 4-5 years before his demise). Hence it might not be present in the publications which have come out before.

In the above youtube video, we can listen to Ms. Shreya Devnath (disciple of Shri Lalgudi) playing the varnam in violin. Before playing it, she explains that this varnam is composed by her guru and also briefly sings the varnam.

The article given in the above link says that this varnam was played by Lalgudi Krishnan and Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi in the beginning of one of their concerts. It is seen that the siblings have played this varnam in quite a few other occasions as well.
