TRIBUTE TO THYAGARAJA- DD CHANDANA

The Bharatiya Samagana Sabha and DD Chandana, jointly organize a musical series of Saint Thyagaraja’s compositions from 4th May to 23rd May, 2017 to commemorate the 250th Birth Anniversary of one of the greatest musical composers of India. Immensely talented young Carnatic musicians from the South will be presenting concerts, both vocal and instrumental in dedication to Saint Thyagaraja, whose rich melody, bhava laden krithis resonate across the land.

The viewers can watch all these 16 concerts, starting from 4th of May, 2017 on Doordarshan Chandana Channel from Monday to Saturday at 10.30 am and retelecast the next day at 7.00 pm.

Percussion accompaniment to the duo is from the Anoor cousins: Vinod Shyam and Sunaad.

Boston Brothers- Tejas Manjunath and Pranav Manjunath played well. Initially thought they are Mysore Manjunath's sons and wondered why they arecalled Boston Brothers. On googling, found that they are from Boston and now settled in Bengaluru.
