A very impressive concert. Good song/raga selection- right time allotment keeping a steady interesting tempo.
Excellent accompanying artists. Sanjeev, is very quick in grasping the nuances of the main artist and reproducing it. He doesn’t always “follow”the main artist. He sometimes plays the next progressive sangati/ swaram combination, giving an exciting friendly competition . Extremely talented. Sumesh at his aggressive best matched by Bharadwaj.
The Gokulashtami series will go on till 20th August. Admission Free. Very good concerts are lined up.
I have written a special post under "General Discussion" about the organisers Unnati/SGBS Trust-link given below. Request you to kindly visit that page. My sincere thanks to Sri.Ramesh Swamy and his team for organising the concert.

Disappointing lack of neraval in Sikkil Gurucharan's main, especially since he's so damn good at it!

kssr,
Thank you. Just recently I was thinking that there hasn't been a review of Gurucharan's concert in a while. Good to hear about one. A very good concert it seems to have been.
Yes, Sanjeev is a seasoned violinist to have as an accompanist. I don't know if he has been heard much by Bengaluru rasikAs.

melam72: This is the recent trend. Most concerts have only one neraval. Unless you take the thanam also as one!!!
