There was something very special about this concert. I had to be reminded that I was driving a car, not piloting cloud nine, on the way home. In combination with RKSK's solo concert of a couple of days ago, it convinced me that I am witnessing today what a future generation will call a golden age of music.

Ohh forgot to mention, apart from the mangalam [Pavamana] no trinity krithis at all. Wow, god knows when I got to hear a concert like this, apart from thematic concerts of course. Shows the depth of Sumithra's padantharam.

Listening to the concert and savoring it. Sa(ch)raNam Sa(cha)raNam enRAnE was so good to hear after ages. Arunachala Kavi is back! nannu brOchuTaku (Gopala dasa) was lilting in AlApanai, and more in svarAs than in neraval.

Ah, we have progressed, in not criticizing artistes in excluding trinity songs in a concert. Good! And Sureshvv, you hardly noticed. Reassuring

Sumitra Vasudev is the best under the Mid Senior category.In fact much better than the popular fare dished out by popular artists.

Well, if you are talking about harimau - he was referring to many izhuvai kritis that don't express layam that his favorite artiste sings! I didn't read more into it beyond that!

Otherwise , other people don't know why they are asking for Trinity kritis in the first place! They may have the inclination to walk out during tani! They can critique the rest of these composers as "EdO oru vidattil kuraiccal" ( fall short in one aspect or other) , but first did they understand and appreciate the laya viSranti in them. Else the rest of the arguments are invalid! They lose their talking rights!
