Commenting on second marriages, Samuel Johnson (or Oscar Wilde, depending on whom you choose to believe in during a Google search) is reported to have said that second marriages are the triumph of hope over experience.
This is pretty much true of canteen food this Season.
The first attempt at ingesting canteen food was at Mylapore Fine Arts Club. Eating one keerai vadai and one rava dosa was enough to severely gut my intestines. However, one's stomach keeps demanding replenishment at regular intervals and one such attempt was at Sastalaya Catering at Narada Gana Sabha where I ate a dish of sambar rice. Then came a couple of full meals, mini-meals and just plain curd rice at the Academy canteen. All of them had the same impact on my system. Soon I became very familiar to the washroom attendants and auditorium ushers at the Academy who were solicitously inquiring if everything was okay with me as they saw me rush from the auditorium to the washroom several times a day. The only clean-smelling washrooms are at Academy so I have spent most of the Season so far at the Academy washrooms.
Nope, I shall not repeat what my friend said to me a couple of years ago about leaving the auditorium for the washroom in the middle of a concert. Inquiring minds may Google for it but I think my post was redacted so you all will have to trust your own memories.

Ha ha. Quite interesting. Really a very funny statement.

Apt title. I read it forgetting the taste of Harimau.

Some great man will soon theorise:
The frequency of a man's ablutions reveal the dissonance between his absorption and his ingestion, whether it is curry or cutchery.

Hard to catch-up with Harimau's digestion.
Reminds me of a comment by a UK friend, many years back, when driving past a roadside eatery advertising Fast Food...
"So fast you have to sit on the toilet to eat it."
Sorry to take the thread even further down the drain!
