@sankark - Cheraravademira? Is that not Gananayakam in Rudrapriya of MD?

A beautiful concert and a lovely artist. Was listening to him last night. Sedate and peaceful (not adjectives we can use easily for all the music out there). More power to his Veena

Super concert.

As usual for him, he has no intrusive tuning or amplification problems. This leaves him free to just get on with the music. Which he does in the modest, unfussy way that we usually only see in artists four times his age. Oh, I guess we don't see many 100 to 120 year olds! Never mind, he had it covered and can only get better.

Presentation as well as musical flavour... Guru's influence? Sure.

Pristine music.
Neelaambari was literally out of the world. Aalapana and Ambaneelambari (Tanjore ponniah pillai)

Mukhari aalapana for 'Entanine' brought tears to my eyes. (it was a rare personal experience for me)
Nereval and swaras (@ kanulaara) were distinct and full of nuances.

More later.
