I only wish she had spent less on sahAnA and more on kIrvAni. Yes it flowed beautifully from both SV and MSNM.

There is nothing to crib about the Keeravani pallavi. In fact it must be a lesson for the music students how to present the pallavi. When she took up the pallavi, there was 45 minutes available. She finished ragam and tanam in 15 minutes (including violin). Taking into account her age and her school, she would have never done an alapana for 15 minutes. So it was adequate. The pallavi was in 4 kalai. I dont know whether anybody else sang 4 kalai pallavi this season. This is the only 4 kalai pallavi I heard in this season. She sang an elaborate and amazing neraval in 4 kalai, sang swaram, then went to 2 kalai, sang swaram, then to 1 kalai and sang mel kala swaram. Also Trikalam. For the entire RTP, she took 32 minutes. An Excellent presentation.

Oh Great!! My miss. Due to some domestic issues, I did not attend this concert. This is a grand pallavi coined by Mahavidwan TNS. I heard this in two lec dems of TNS on RTP. Never heard in a concert. Gayathri Girish would have done full justice to the pallavi- that too in Mishra Triputa 4 kalai. I remember long back once she rendered 8 kalai pallavi in MA. She constantly pushes her frontiers. If AIR relays this , I can hear it. Good that Sivaramakrishnan attended and reported this in the forum.

An absolutely incredible musical experience.

As Gayathri Girish was laying out the pallavi line, I was thinking if this essay (there is no other word to describe the loooong pallavi sahithyam) could fit into any tala structure and manage to remain musical.

If there was a WOW moment in this entire Season, this was it.

The pallavi was executed perfectly tala-wise. And the Kalyani was wonderful.

The only authentic genius we have amongst our midst today is T N Seshagopalan. And Gayathri's hard work in internalizing this pallavi and presenting it with aplomb shows what a serious musician she is.

This was not for the sheeple who stayed away in droves.

The pallavi was in 4 kalai. I dont know whether anybody else sang 4 kalai pallavi this season. This is the only 4 kalai pallavi I heard in this season.
