Namaskarams to Periyava! If there are purOhitAs that are available to do samskAra in TamizhNadu, it is the Sri Matam that laid the foundation for that. Beyond that so many charitable institutions, and he sincerely tried to do an outreach to various communities.

I cherish visiting Kanchipuram in my Chennai days and reciting an Upanishad line or two in his presence, in the darshan line.

As a child of course I have visited when Maha Periyavar used to be in kalavai.
