Another sparkling concert from the team. At the end of a long weekend, with rain pouring in buckets, the artistes and a small band of loyal, keen folks found their way into the hall. And the Music poured in buckets inside too 
If the KS @ MadhisEkaran in Ritigowla was catchy, Ramanatham alapana by both Vocal and Violin was evocative. Niraval at KumAra Guruguha was blissful. I have never heard Devagandhari get the grand treatment it did. As you make your way down the list, they were all little gems.
And then we come to the Thodi. That was truly majestic. The alapana saw both Vocal and Violin slip into Graha Bedams. If RS decided to offer Kalyani, Nagai Sriram went one up and offered Mohana Kalyani KS at Shanka Chakra Gadha saw a lot of play with G-D and S-D. My 2 or 4 or even 10 lines will not do justice to more than 30 minutes of immaculate Thodi. It was all capped off with another peppy Thani with the throw-catch by TR. Everyone decided to wrap it up quickly so we could all head back to our respective homes and prepare for the working day.
And then today is a beautiful sunny day !

nA morAlagimpavEmi is one of my all time favorites. rAga bhAvA and the emotional content of the song with its plea and rich glimpses into the story of the rAmAyaNA makes it a special song.
