Very sad news
:(
May his soul rest in peace! I had the privilege of interacting with him a few months ago. A brilliant man - musically very talented in many diverse areas. I remember him showing a video for which he had directed music. He was reeling off carnatic and hindustani ragas that he used in the background scores as the different scenes rolled by. When I mentioned one particular hindustani raga (can't recall which) seemed to have shades of cArukEsi, he looked at me for a second and said "no you are taking ga here as shadjam, and if you do that this scale would be somewhat like to cArukEsi". He immediately demonstrated the original scale, and the scale after graha-bedham - right there with no hesitation. Needless to say I was left with my mouth hanging wide.
Yet he was so down to earth and charming. Truly a pleasure to talk to and interact with. Those who interacted with him will also know that he was a supreme entertainer - having people around him laughing non-stop with humorous anecdotes, impressions etc. His sense of humour is unmatched among the people I have met in my life.
Sincere condolences to his family.

I am very sad to hear this news. Sri Visweswaran was a good friend and a genuine gentleman. As a musician he was a multi-talented artiste who was a gifted in three streams of music as a Carnatic vocalist, a Hindustani santoor player and a Flamenco Guitarist. He was a very jovial man and puns used to roll from his tongue. He loved his cars and gadgets and loved to browse in musical instrument stores when he was on tour abroad.
He will be surely missed by his friends, the music and dance community.
