mA dayai nidhi Sivan should have been in a trance when he vAggEyu’d this. A perfect trifecta of rAgam, chandam and minimalistic maNipravAlam. Hope someone takes sendhilAdhipa..shanmukhA for a nereval. Seems a very apt place.

About 50 mins so far. Though one gets a feeling as if immersed in an experience that is 500 mins. Proof positive that that the length isn't a right measure of goodness in CM

Kharaharapriya alapana was done in a different and delightful style - with a lot of scalar combinations - not standard fare from VS. The accompanists were young and put in their effort to shine in the limelight. Overall a great concert at BVB this year for VS team.

Folks - pls add the ragams too - with VS you can expect some not-so-common krithis in common ragas...

To my memory, this is the first time, Iam attending morning concert of Vijay Siva. (VS) (or he is giving for first time or may be after long time). The concert was outstanding. He was in full flow. I entered the hall when he was in "himachala".
Vasantha raaga - "mAA dayai" is very rare and long "unheard" in live concert. Sri.KVN and Sri.DKJ immortalised this Papanasam Sivan song. Beautiful meaning and whenever I come out of Vijay Siva, my heart pains to see his absence in Music Academy.

I was bit surprised to see the youngsters as accompanists. None of us is known to me or seen by me accompanying VS. But, they really justified their place. "many "Besh" from VS is testimony to that.
