Exactly a year ago, I heard the duo play beautifully here in Bengaluru.
A few days ago, I heard Vijayalakshmi accompany Raji Gopalkrishnan in what turned out to be a top notch performance at MA
My bad I was too tired and missed a segment of it, dozing off

It started sharply at 9-30, GJR and GJV was about to complete around 12-10, but based on some request from audience, they continued till 12-25

New Year 2019 began with an " awesome" Violin Duet concert by the "twosome " Lalgudi GJR Krishnan and Ms .Vijayalakshmi with Mridangam Mestro Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Trichy Sankaran and Ghatam Vidwan Sri Suresh .Right from the beginning till the end
mellifluos ideas on Ragams ' neravals and Swaraprastharam flew from the duo' s busy brain to their soft yet rapid fingers esp. in Shanmugapriya and Karaharapriya .The heighlight was the RTP in Raag Behag followed in Ragamalika of Sahana .Mohanam .Dhanyasi .Sivaranjani and Suddha Saranga .Wow Scintilating performance ..Although their illustrious father and Guru Late Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman was not present , the duo brought him back to centre stage by his Karna Ranjani Thillana .Well begun is half done .But the New Year began in full swing for me .Musicians , you made my day !
