in the raaga hamsanadham ,the kriti kalyanarama is not as often heard as bantureethi, a top favoutite of all the vidwans, the song figures in the musicindiaonline carnatic -vocal, sung by kasturirangan, a very competent disciplenof sri TNS,and a true replica, probablythatis the reason that he does not get as many chances as he deserves. Hamsanadham resembles sudhasaranga,. will some friend explain the similarities and differences of these two raagas gobilalitha

nown to be a janya of both Dharmavathy(60);Aroh:and nIthi mathy(60)
Aroh:SA RI MA PA DA NI SA
aVAROH:SA NI DA NI PA MA RI SA (As per Rangiah of Mysore)
Now there is another version known to be a Janya of (60)NEETIMATHY with the following scale:
Aroh:SA RI MA PA DA NI SA
aVAROH:sa ni da ni pa ma ri sa (with shatahruti Deivatam) (as per SampradAyapradharshini)

Dharmavathy is 59th Melakartha (M2 counter part of Gowri manohari).

Sudha Saranga is a janya of(62)RISHABHAPRIYAwith:-
Aroh:SA GA MA PA NI SA
SA DA PA MA GA RI SA
***Since shadshruti deivatam is prominent, the sAME SHOULD BE PRESENTED AS AN ELONGATED SWARAM AS dAa instead of da both in Aroh and avaroh.to get full flavour of the raga.Ref:SamprayAdaya pradharshini.
There are other versions too.for this raga:(1) as janya of (29)Shankarabharanam(2)as janya of (54)vISWAMBHARI.
