Relationship if any between Sahana and Purvikalyani

I couldn’t help feel aural similarities listening to Shri Ariyakudi Ramanuja Iyengar’s rendition of Kudarai Velluneir (Purvikalyani) and poka poonkavil ennu , kathakali padam from Nalacharitam first day ( Raga Sahana rendered in madhyama suvi, particular to kathakali?). I would be grateful any of the learned rasikas shed any light on this possible connection between the two ragas? Or these renderings? Or just an aural hallucination?
