This concert was just 90 mins and what a great concert it turned out to be . Abilash has antha kALathu sangathi weight . He generally starts with hayagreevar slokham and he getting into swaminatha paripAlayumam with an arresting nattaiswaras was an immediate kalai kattufying start. Detailed alapana of poorvikalyani came out very well and the krithi with swaras was a weighty submain.

Rare krithi was the kamas ST Krithi that had lot of depth in his treatment along with swaras . What a joy to hear his tOdi. His grand paramaguru SSI has blessed him , arresting alapana lot of nagaswara pidi it had not just 11 mins alapana content but atleast 16 mins of todi content . This krithi DaachukovalenA is a bold choice for a 90 mins concert ,he did very well with krithi ,neraval and swaras .

Ugabooga or slokham what was that i am not sure now or even then during the concert but behag flowed very well .Abilash specializes a lot in purandara dasar krithis and he singing this deva deva bananammA did register to me well, not every PD krithi is extremely good but this one was indeed great in behag. ANdal tiruppavai is not rare in margazhi but he bringing that in 90 mins was a nice closure

VPS Shivani Gayatri also had a standing ovation, i recollect after a round of applause to the team when some one said specifically about VPS shivani Gayatri, there was another round of long applause , she is just too good , almost she is been kept by a wide range of main performers .She has got the azhuttam and fingering technique of her latest guru M Chandrasekaran . Her kalapramanam and the grasp is great . Rohit Ashok is the student of Kalidas - Pazhani pudukottai parampara , certainly nice strokes with great kalapramanam tightness. I am forgetting now as to how his tani was. All said great ideas anchored with intense classicism. Certainly Abilash is atleast not a noon concert vidwan he has to move atleast to the afternoon concert(already too late that he is not promoted) .

Overall an excellent concert for 90 mins.

GLICSPAWES 2025 "Goto LIve Concert Show PAtronage Without Excuses Series" concert #33 of 33(30 was my goal) is all done. It is 33 concerts for the year 2025 , I had 20 from November 2nd week to Dec 2025 during season.
