Among vidushis to hear Amrutha Venkatesh is always special . There is always an intense Carnatic aroma where there is a great selection of compositions . Most importantly quite a lot of vidushis after say 10 years post their youth tend to lose stamina , Amrutha maintains that elusive stamina and one main reason is she always keeps top notch accompanist. I have noticed most of her concerts she pairs with Arjun Ganesh and Rajeev Mukundan . FOr this concert Arjun Ganesh gave way to a very most omniprescent NC Bharadwaj . NCB paired with another omnipresent ghatam vidwan Chandrasekara sharma
Her creativity started with a very sampradaya varnam in saveri , sarasooda warmed up her voice and it is a very well laid 2 speed varnam. A rare GNB krithi karimukha came out well with lovely round of intense swaras. After taking a usual #2 fast numbers ,she sang a ragasketch of jujAvanti and took up akhilAndeshwari . The krithi is a janaranjaka drop and not just me all in the audience did enjoy.
A very detailed viruththam came out very well , she sang so well that todi and after violin return , a great master piece krithi Thanigai valar came out exceptionally well. Todi had a slight light strokes but she made up well with the neraval , especially few repeated todi rasa with just the key word thulli was musically intelligent . Swaras were well done , in the context of the overall concert time it was great though bit short.
Enta vendunkO in Saraswathi manohari is a great fast krithi , reminding one and only ganakALadhara MMI and their school down below who give so much of musical touch. She sang very well with a lovely round of swaras.

Time for main when she began with Keeravani , i assumed briefly as todi was done if she is heading for RTP. But she kept singing a very detailed Keeravani knew for sure there would only be a krithi main. Vaananai is a brilliant krithi , when appar wrote the lines there is a chance there is no Keeravani , credit goes to Todi Kannan who was the tune smith of Vaananai madhi soodhiya , credit to this creator . So many musicians have sung including Neyveli santhanagopalan who take up too often.Amrutha latched the Keeravani rasa and sang exceptionally well vaananai . Personally in my last 20 plus concerts i did not get even one Keeravani . To hear Keeravani as a main gives me joy.
Tukkadas started with a bash of Desh . She sang a nice PD krithi that had a nice nidhanam feel then usual many PD krithi which gives me only bhajana vittala feel. Many lalgudi thillanas like this kamas are very rare , and i am assuming the lalgudi school guards it close , kudos to vidushi Amrutha to unearth this rare kamas thillana of LGJ .
Pakka vadhyams were PakkA vadhyams. Rajeev Mukundan had a very nice azhutham . NCB was brimming with extreme sarvalaghu confidence , he is surely a star who is ubiquitous across the spectrum of main artists . He brings a bit of both Karaikuddi mani speed and also the living legend UKS nAdham. Chandrasekara Sharma is playing effortless , he is playing like the best of Ghatam Karthik ,lot of single finger taps . Many ghatam artists play well but after a period of time they get into Volume DHil maange more race ,hope he does not
Overall an excellent to outstanding concert for 2 hours and 20 mins
