This is another singer I find to be rather low profile. Her voice is amazing as also her selection of songs and ragas. There is always at least one surprise on her list. Her rendition of both Mayamalavagowlai-- Merusamana-r,n,s and Sri Sathyanarayanam-- r,s,t at NGS were terrific .
MFAC concert featured a very moving Dhavalambari-- kotiswara iyer. It was a new raga to me and I loved it. Wonder why more artists don't attempt such ragas? Her RTP in Shanmukhapriya was very interesting and very deftly handled. The alapana was extremely good.
Her tillanas are also very exciting-- usually sings Balamurali's.
