Lec-dem of Dr.M.A.Bhageerathi on 2nd January 2008

Dr. Bhageerathi gave a very good lec-dem on Kamalamba Navavarnam. Her explanation flowed like the water from falls, so beautiful. Her rendition of the kritis especially ahiri and Ghanta were really fantastic. I really don't know as to why she is not given a concert by the sabhas. She sings so well. She was accompaied by papa M.S.Anantharanman and Umayalpuram mali. I wish she gives lectures at the Music Academy at its annual conference.

She explained about sundarar and svarnakarshana Ganapati. she also mentioned about the cakras and their usefulness. She comared many things like Soundaryalahari, tirukkural etc
