Corrections and additions welcome.

I had the privilege of attending this concert. A fine set of popular krithis was rendered with total composure. I enjoyed the Atana piece very much.A couple of highly emotive krithis in the list, yet rendered with calmness.
I liked the violin, found the mridangam a little restrained.

It was somewhat awkward to see so many empty chairs. I wished for a better attendance. It was nice to meet Arasiji. Both of us were in an extended season-mood, having
another concert to attend right after!

Exactly, Anusha.
As for Jayalakshmi Santhanam's concert, I thought things were far from ideal. The concert was supposed to start at 5-15. Jayalakshmi said that she would start with just the mrudangam when there was no sign of the violinist. By some mishap, the violinist was under the impression that the concert was at 7 PM! In the meantime, finding that there was no tambura, an ardent rasika offered to bring one from her nearby house and she offered to play it too. By the time she came back, the violinist had arrived, and the concert had begun. So, the tambura sat idly on the side of the stage all through the concert! Jayalakshmi had to cut the concert drastically down, to accomodate the vINA performer who was going to perform after her.
As Anusha said, Nalina Mohan played very well. The mrudangam could have been better. Still, as is expected of her, Jayalakshmi gave a highly classical concert. For somone her age, she always sings spiritedly. ..
Anusha and I drifted on from a mature performer's concert to a budding vocalist's fare which was in progress. It was Neyveli's daughter Sriranjani who was singing at the Kalavedi nearby. The concert was in full swing as we entered and no less than Charulata Ramanujam and Cheluvaraju and an adept ghatam artiste-whose name I forget-were enthusiastically supporting the young vocalist. Sriranjani has a very sweet voice with a lot of power and she sings with energy (another energetic singer!). Her very first concert in Bangalore, the organizer said. She has a bright future, he added, and I agree with him. Of course, she has quite a way to go, mastering rAgam singing, neravals, svarams and so on, but she sings with feeling. The organizer said, pulikkup piRandadu pUnaiyAgumA? I concur.
Her bhajan (Swati Tirunal's) was simply superb. Wish someone would put it on the forum.
Sriranjani,
as the organizer quipped about 'rates' (remuneration), I would, about copyrights :) Would be nice if it is heard by others too.
Anusha, I didn't note down the songs and my memory is atrocious. Can you help? Thanks.

The Mukhari composition is by Neelakanta Sivan - not Papanasam Sivan. The Bhairavi composition is a Jaavali by Chinnaiah - ``Elaradaayane Kamini"

Thanks Vocalist, for the corrections.

To add to Arasi's comments, here is the songlist for the second half of Sriranjini's concert-

...
sadA enna hrudayadalli vAsa madO-pantuvarAli
rAga sudhArasa -andolika-Tyagaraja
sarOjadalanEtri-shankarabharanam-Shyama Shastri
jagadOddhAraNA-kaapi-Purandara Dasa
aaj aayo mOrA shyAm-?-Swati Tirunaal

Ghatam: Vid. Srishaila
He played very well, I attentively heard him only during tani.

When I entered the neraval for the Pantuvarali kriti was going on,it was followed by swarams. The Shankarabharanam alapanai was very well done.Perhaps due to lack of time, the swarams ended quickly or so I felt.It was an interesting set of swarams. Some plain phrases were rendered for a very brief moment in between, giving it a Western touch. The ending was very good as well. There was a short racy Tamil krithi in the end, I couldn't get the words. She has got a well trained voice, there was flow in her music all along.

I found the mike volumes too high, for all the artistes. This often seems to be the case, or perhaps it is only my perception!

sadA enna hrudaya dalli - I have heard many times only in Behag. This is one of the many songs popularized thru SampradAya Bhajanais.
