S V K Remembrance Day----15th Feb 2008 @ Naada Inbam

In remembrance of its Founder/Convenor Sri S V Krishnan, Naada Inbam has arranged the following programme at Raga Sudha Hall on 15th Feb 2008.

At 5. 30 pm, Sangita Kalanidhi Sri T K Govinda Rao, a close friend of Sri S V K , will share with the audience the memories of his association with S V K.

At 6.00 pm, there will be music by Smt Rama Ravi assisted by Smt Nandita Ravi and accompanied by Sri R K Sriramkumar and Sri Arun Prakash .

Music Lovers are welcome.

Bharath, I did not take notes and came in late but the cutcheri was of the usual high standards that one can expect from the Vidushi. Varali (Maragatha - Thyagaraja) and Sankarabharanam (Buddhi Radu - Thyagaraja) were the main pieces. The Padam, Moratopu, in Sahana was another highlight.

Surrounded by a full house, many of whom were musicians and supported by top class accompanists, justice was done both to Shri SVK's memory and Smt Rama Ravi's vidwat
