Vijay Siva's concert on 26-02-2008 @ Thyagaraja Aradhana,Srirangam,Trichy was excellent with good selection of songs.

The concert was excellent with full devotion and bhava. raghupathe was good with beautiful niraval. the alapana for karaharapriya was excellent with starting in the upper octave and the niraval was also good but there was no swaras. instead he fastened the speed and switched over to the next line. then the fillers theliya leru rAma and cede budhi in pacca D.K.J. bani was enjoyable. then was the main piece evarurA in mohanam with detailed alApana and neraval & swaram at e jAlamu seya and then the tani was also good.
the slokam kalyana lolA was good especially the yaman kalyan. then the thukkadAs was also good.
shrirAm kumAr was at his best throgh out the concert. his sahana alapana, neraval in rama neeyada and the mohanam elaboration was excellent. mridangam and ghatam was also good.
the concert started by 7.15 and continued till 9.35.

Hi,

Raghupathe is a very good song in sahana. There is an album , one of the best by Vijaysiva, called Ramamrutham which has that song.
Few songs were in Bangalore B S Utsav concert too. As you rightly described it, devotion and bhava are the characteristics of his concerts.
Someone described his concert as "arumarunthu" meaning rare medicine.

ya correctly said. first a very good thing to be noted from vijay siva is his guru bhakthi during his learning period and also now. then his regular practice and his struggle for each and every concert. this point i noticed from sanjay too. he also work for all of his concert to make it a sucess.
