This was held as part of the Sivarathri celebrations of Advaita Foundation, Bangalore.
This being on the occasion of Sivarathri they sang mostly compositions on Lord Siva. The turnout was very poor in the beginning of the concert maybe because it was not well advertised, the hall was not even half full. Towards the end the turnout was better. There were issues with the mic adjustment for the first couple of songs but then they gradually settled down to give a fine concert.
I am not very qualified or technically equipped to give a detailed review. I will give a brief review and request someone else who attended to give a more detailed version.
They began with a varnam in Aboghi and then Kedaram followed by a Purandaradasa's Navarathnamalika in Atana. After Pantuvarali and Ananda Bhairavi came the main piece of the concert. It was the less heard Sundareshwaruni in Shankarabharanam of Thyagaraja, which was from his Kovur Pancharatnam. They then sang a RTP in Hindolam with the Pallavi "un darisanam kidaikumo Nataraja, dayanidhe". Incidentally i think Sanjay also sang the same Pallavi for his RTP in Gowri Manohari in Krishna Gana Sabha in December. There were a few requests for Bho Shambho by the audience, which they (R&G) said they do not know very well and would sing it next time here! They wrapped up with a Swathi Tirunal Bhajan in Sohini and a Tukaram Abhang.
They were well supported by HN Bhaskar. The percussion team of Poongulam Subramanyam and Guruprasanna also gave good support.

I didnot know at all.
Who sang sankarabaranam alapana and who sang hindola raga alapana. Are they alternated during alapana.
How long is the concert?
Thank you
Both of them shared the raga alapanas for the main and the RTP. Ranjani started off with both and later left it to Gayatri to continue..
