how to play RAR files?

hello members,,
i am unable to open the music files(RAR files).
can anyone plz help me by telling how to open a RAR file?

rar is not a music file format but rather an archive format like zip. Download winrar from http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm and then unarchive the .rar files to get the contents. If the contents are music files like .mp3 or .wav etc. you can then play them with your music player of choice ( like windows media player, vlc media player, quicktime player etc. ).
