lakshmanji,
it should be 'nATrisaiyum' - (four directions)

Re: Lyrics of Aadugiran Yen ull paadugiran kannan (Kapi)ADugirAn ennuL. rAgA: mAND / kApi. Adi tALA. Composer: Shuddhananda Bharati.

P: ADugirAn ennuL pADugirAn kaNNan Ananda rAdhaiyuDan kaNNan
Kannan(Lord Krishna) is dancing and singing within me along with the ever blissful Radha
A: ODugurAn mana vIDu niraindavan ucchik-kamalattil sacchidAnandamAi
I am not sure if it is ODugurAn or OdugirAN-
If it is the latter, it means, runs
mana vIdu niraindavant-the one who has filled the house which is my mind
(and he dances) as the sachidAnanda in
uchchikkamalattil- sahasrArachakra( I am not sure about this-just guessing)
Some one can correct please.

C: kATrena vandennai kaTTi aNaippAn-coming like a wind ,he will embrace me
kadirena kaNNuLLE pudumaigaL kATTuvAn-he will show novel things in the eyes like the rays of light
nATrisaiyum tozha nATakam naDippAn- worshipped on all the four directions
he will enact a drama,
nanmai sheidOrkkellAm nalam pala purivAn- and he will bestow all benefits on people who do good
(another last line version)
kUTrena vandum ikkUTTai pirittiDuvAn-like Yama, he will come and remove this nest(which is the body,Isuppose)-I am not too sure here
konjum kuzhandaiyAga nenjattirindu - residing in our heaart like an adorable baby
nidam-everyday

corrections welcome

punarvasu,
nice translation - the 'guesses' all are correct.
I think 'ODugirAn' is correct.

Reading the last (additional line), I am reminded of a wonderful Dasara Kriti - yamane kANenedu (sorry if my wordings are wrong) - meaning as I understood runs like this -

"You don't have to search where Yama is - Yama is none other than Rama'.

Lakshmanji,
Can you post the lyrics please?

VGV, THANKS.
There is a saying in Tami 'nambinOrkku nArAyaNan'-
the same idea is reflectedd in this purandaradAsa song-
The same person is Rama to vibheeshNa, and yama to rAvaNaa;
mitra to ugrasEna and shatru to kamsa;
hari to the child-prahAda and ari(enemy) to his father
What beautiful thoughts!

yamanelli kANenedu is a beautiful composition - MLV made it so popular (isn't hers the Sivaranjani version?). One of my favorite dAsa pieces - thanks for asking (VGV) and posting (Lji).

If I understand it correctly, the purpose of this kriti is to highlight the fact that God is one - the way one experiences 'him' is dependant upon ones actions. He goes on to say that the same Lord who came as/became rAmA (rAmanAda) to vibhIshaNa who believed him (nambida), became the messenger of death/god of death (yamane Ada) to rAvaNa who did not believe him to be God personified (nambadidda)....to arjuna who believed in him, he became a servant/charioteer (baNTanAda), while he was the death knell to the kauravA race...to ugrasEna who believed in him, he was a friend, restoring his kingdom, while he became the enemey of kamsa who did not believe in him....for the sake of the young lad (prahlAda) he became hari, while he became the nemesis (ari) of his infidel father (hiraNyakSipu) - He concludes, our Lord, the lotus-eyed purandara viTTalarAya is pledged to protect all those who believe in him.

This will make a wonderful piece for dancing - each line can be expanded in sancArIs, and if some jatIs are added between the lines (like Mohan had done for 'Eru mayil Eri') - I am sure it will be fabulous.....

Thanks vgvindan. I downloaded and listened to the beautiful rendition of MLV. Thanks again. I did find difference in the lyrics as given by Lakshmanji and the rendition. Here the MLV version:

yamaneli kANenendu. rAgA: mukhAri / shivaranjani. jhampe tALA.

P: yamaneli kANenendu hELabEDa

A: yamanE shrI rAmanu sandEha bEDa
C1: nambida vibhISaNage rAmanAda nambadidda rAvaNanige yamane Ada
2: nambida arjunanige mitranAda nambadidda duryOdanake satruvAsa
3. nambida prahladanike hariyAda nambadidda hiranyatake puriyAda
4. nambida ugrasEnanige brahya nAtha nambadidda kamsanige shatruvAda
5: nambikondi vEga shrI Krishna dEvanA sankuchakradhAriki Purandara Vittala

Any correction welcome.

Lakshmanji thank you for the Sudha Raghunathan's version too.
