namaste,

Could anyone share some infomation on Sapmochon, Tagore's musical adaptation of the
well-known western story "the beauty and the beast" ?
I am not sure whether this work was originally composed in the form of a dance-drama (like the famous Shyama, Chitrangada etc ) or whether it was a musical work from the rabindrasangeet repertoire later adapted for dance/theatre . (If the first hypothesis were true, the original choreography must have been in the dance style commonly known as rabindrik or tagore dance)

thank you

I just found two interesting articles on the tagore dance style known as Rabindrik
