Amazing recital by Mala MA'am.She selected many Annamacharya compositions. All of them were rendered with uttermost beauty.the Sahana Varnam was a wonderful start to the concert. She gave wonderful swarams for the next composition. The three Annamacharya compositions which came up later were a real treat to the ears. The Ganamoorthy composition was too good. The Sub main, Kedaragowla was highly melodius. The Bhairavi deserved a wonderful applause..It was far betetr than the best is what i can say.The Alapana was amazing.I need to mention specially about the violinist here.He gave a wonderful support to the flute. The line Neela Neerada Sareera was really soothing.Thaniavarthanam by Sri Sarkalai Ananthakrishnan and Ramanamurthy was worth mentioning.I was amazed by the Energy of Sharkalai AnanthaKrishnan. The thukkadas were played with utter ease and had an ever lasting impact...
Above all this there was no prior announcement regarding this concert. So not more than 15-20 people turned out for such a wonderful concert.thank you

It is nice to hear of a great concert,
I think organisers get away with a lot because no-one ever does speak out. the musicians would often be the last to do so. Making complaints may put them in a difficult position in the future.
But I have no idea what is the protocol for a visiting artist in terms of organising transport and so on. At the very least, I would think the organiser should, out of simple courtesy, ensure that arrangements are made.
I heard that MSG was left to find his own way from London Heathrow airport a few years ago --- and I don't think he has been back to UK since. Who can blame him!

In both cases, shabby. An elderly gentleman abroad, and a woman, however young and capable, being treated that way in a city where she would have had no clue about the route to the station--that too at night...
