I did not find a topic on this vidvAn. Here is a review of a tribute to this vaiNika (Smt. Aruna Sairam is one of his illustrious disciples):

KSN was a very humble and sensitive man-a man of few words but exceptionally warm on a one-to-one basis. His association with Semmangudi mama was one of those most fruitful musical associations(He became Prinicipal of the Trivandrum Swathi Thirunal Academy after Semmangudi mama.
I have spent countless hours attending on him when he visited Madras where he stayed with MS/TS at kalki gardens.Along with TS,Semangudi, and Tiruvaiyaru Annaswami Bhagavathar(hari katha)Subri(TS's friend) used to be the Card Gang(rummy). Of all the players KSN was the most composed and least animated, person consistently winning moderately but never losing-that was his musical heritage as well--no frills,no excesses-Great teacher--have sat on his teaching lessons to MS Mami(who by herself was no "slouch" on the Veena!!).
One of his life-long disciples(and a cousin of mine) Kalyani Sharma has brought out a book on KSN as her tribute to a great teacher--he was Principal of the Shanmukhananda Music School in BOmbay after his retirement. He was very sound both on Lakshya and Lakshana and would take pains to explain any doubts one might have( irrespective of the level of musical sophistication of the curious.

There is a recording of him and SSI -Dakshinamurthe in Sankarabharanam.his strumming is very soft and pleasant but full of Azhutham without sacrificing melody.
