The concert was very good.Being the Friday of Navarathri, they began the kutcheri with the most appropriate krithi in Sri raga. The Swarams were excellent and melodious.Vachaspathi song was played in a fast tempo. The Alapana for Poorvikalyani, played by Sri.Nagaraj was full of bhava and all the nuances of the Raga was brought out.Kapi alapana was played by Sri Manjunath and was really a treat to the audience. The Thani lasting for about 20 minutes was excellent.
Sri.Manjunath explained how violin, being a western instrument was adapted to Indian classical music.Overall an enjoyable evening well spent and i am sure everyone wished the concert could have been a little longer.
