I have done a translation of this, and I request Ravi, Arasi, Vidya or anyone else to go through and make corrections (which I am sure are required)
Oh you mute people(UmaigAL), who are swung about(UsalADum) , having entered into the threshold of this tiresome world(uzhalum vAsalukkiRangi)! You do not think (eNNilIr )of giving up(tuRandu) this door(vAsalait) to the distressing(uzhalum ) world, and reaching the Truth(uNmai sEra). When you (nIr )do give up(tuRandu) this door to the world(uzhalum vAsalait), and realize the Truth(uNmai uNarnda pin), then you shall become the Truth(uNmai tAnum AvirE) which also pervades(irunda) the distressing world(xuzhalum vAsaluL).
O Infinite, complete one(pUraNA)! You are the primal light(jOti-yAdi Agi ninRu). You are purity itself (suttamum balittu vandu )and you instruct us on the wisdom(bOdagattai OduginRa) unknown (bOdiyAda )to us. Having crossed all the roads(vIdiyAga ODi vandu) and reaching the horizon(viNNaDiyin UDu pOi), the wise one stays for time eternal(ananta kAlam uLLadE), lost in contemplation of you, O Ancient God of Gods(Adi-nAda-nAdanenRu)
Did the body acquire a soul(uDambuyir eDuttadO), or did the soul acquire a body(uyiruDambeDuttadO)? If it was the body that acquired the soul(uDambuyir eDuttapOdu), then, you please tell me(seppuvIr), which form did the soul have (uruvam Edu )(before being acquired)? The soul does not die(uyiriRappadillaiyE) when the body dies(uDambuyir eDuttapOdu ). So transcend the gross body(uDambu mey maRandu kaNDu), realize the subtle truth(uNarndu )and acquire wisdom(gnAnam OdumE)!
