Thanks GRS. Yes, KFA concerts tend to be rather short. However I have heard some fantastic concerts in this series. As a season opener, artistes tend to take it quite seriously. Since there aren't too many parallel programs going on, attendance is usually quite good. Makes for a great ambience.

Remember Sanjay's 2006 concert featuring Sujana Jeevana, Dasukovalena and a brilliant Abheri.

i couldnt get a seat for this concert..

Going by the trends so far, it looks like the economy's having no impact on the Season at all....

Vinatha Sutha Vahana - Jayanthasena is a classic of DKP / DKJ.
I like T. Brinda's rendition of this krithi even better.

MMI has a short alapana of Jayanthasena before rendering this krithi.

Interesting to listen to an RTP in this raga

By the way, do you recall the starting words for the Brindavana Saranga composition that she sang?

As mentioned on Sanjay's blog and others on this forum, nArAyaNanai is a composition of Raghava Ramanuja Dasar and is in the ragam kOmalAngi.
