Master Sruthi Sagar is a student of Kalaimaamani Dr S Sunder and is
pursuing his Mechanical Engineering degree (3rd year). This extremely
talented youngster gave a scintillating flute performance.
Sruthi displayed all the ingredients needed for an enjoyable concert, Great
Sruthi sudhdham, perfect kala pramanam of krithis, high bhavam and a
great laya gnanam. He was enjoying the rendering himself which
made a huge difference to the concert. It was a pity that he was
given just one hour to perform.
Sruthi Sagar was ably supported by Rahul (a student of Sri M
Chandraskear) on the violin, and Girish (a student of Sri Umayalpuram
Sivaraman) on the mridangam.
I was left with the feeling that carnatic music is in good hands.
