In the rAmanATakam of Sri AK, this is how SrI rAma is introduced to king janakA by sage viSvAmitra:

Without wondering (eNNAmlaE) too much about his identity (yAr enru), please listen (kELum) as I enumerate (Solla) his (ivan) amazing acts (adiSayangaLai).

shUrAdi shUran rAman enum pEran suguNa dhIran ravikula kumAran ivanai


Strongest (sUran) of all the warriors (sUrAdi), he is named (ennum pEran) raghurAm (raghurAman)! He is a scion (kumAran) of the solar (ravi) dynasty (kula), brave (dhIran), and of sterling character (suguNa)! So, without wondering about his (ivanai) identity, listen to me as I enumerate his amazing prowess.

At the beginning (Adiyil) of the saga, king daSarath (daSarathan) began (toDuttAn) to perform (Seiyyavenru) the putrakAmmEshTi yAga. He then divided (eDuttAn) the pAyasam/cause of bliss (paramAnandattai) that was given (tanda) to him by the being (bhUtan) that apppeared (vanda) from the sacrificial fire in a golden (ponnin) lotus (kamalattilE) into 4 parts (nAlAga). He then gave (koDuttAn) one part (onru) each of the effulgence (jyOti) contained therein (adil) to kausalyA and kaikEyI, and two parts (iraNDumAga) to sumitra (sumittiraikku) [1]. Even as rAma (rAghavan) was born (pirandAn) from (iDandida) [2] the chief (mUtta) queen (pEdai), kausalyA (kOsalai), he put an end (viDuttAn) to my worries (kavalayai). So, without wondering about his (ivanai) identity, listen to me as I enumerate his amazing prowess.

He wiped away (tuDaittAnE) the blot (mASai) that stained ahalyA's (ahalyaikku) body (uDal) as a consequence of which she (avaL) was pursued (turattum) by an unbreakable curse (SApam), with the dust from his feet (kAlinAlE). It will not be an exaggeration (perukkam enna) to claim that even as he (ivan) was born (pirakkavE), a great, auspicious (mangaLa) boom/sound (OSai) resounded (pirandadE) all around the world (ulagengum). It is my earnest desire (ennOr ASai) to see (pArka vENDum) if your huge (parutta) bow (vil) will appropriate (pOdumO) or not (pOdAdO) for his (ivan) valorous hands/arms (kaikku). I hope you do realize that it is the fruits of your devotion (pUjai) that has resulted in his coming/gracing (vandAnE) your palace, for even if you were to ask (SonnAlum) him to come (vara) here (ingE), it is not easy (valivilE) to predict if you would be granted (kiDaikkumO) that boon (vara) [3]. So, without wondering about his (ivanai) identity, listen to me as I enumerate his amazing prowess.

[1] The division of the pAysam is described rather prosaically here - in one dance drama, I have heard it described thus: 'paTTamahiSi kausalyaku sakhamu, migilina sakhamulO sumitraku sakhamu; migilina pAyasamu, kaikEyi sumitraku sari sakhamu' - half of the pAyasam was given to the chief queen kausalyA, and of the remaining half, sumitra was offered half. The remaining pAyasam was split equally between kaikEyi and sumitra.
[2] iDandida - don't know what it means exactly. The transalation is contextual.
[3] vara kiDaikkumO - will (you) be blessed with his arrival? I think this can also mean, 'will you be blessed with the boon (vara) of his appearance?'
