The concert started at 9.35 am and ended at 12.45 pm. RTP was a grand affair. Sri Trichy Sankaran and Sri V Suresh played with a great deal of co-ordination. #1, #12 and #13 are compositions of Lalgudi Sir.
It was a perfect setting to begin the new year.

I attended this concert and enjoyed it a lot. It was a nice way to start off the new year.
Sri Krishnan announced that the Hindolavasanta tillana was Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman's latest composition and was composed after his recovery to good health. Indeed, Sri Lalgudi was sitting back stage in the wings watching the concert.
