Anyone can recommend a violin instructor in Mysore? What I want is someone that is patient with a student who has no 'ear' for music, helps with theory and not rush from lesson to lesson..so he does not have to be a senior teacher.

I start getting shivers down my spine everytime I remember that particular semester where my wife had to learn Violin as part of her Music BA in Madras University and would be practising at home... :P
A period when I learnt to respect every single violinist , no matter what calibre...
new 1 .
Hope you did not take offense. That was in good humor.Narahari should be able to help you shortly
Though I must say you could be a person with no Finger for music yet .
It cannot be no ear for music. Can it ?

It is ear, not finger! Mean, cant identify ma from ni or other way around..some are just able to do that without formal training...

Finger I will know after I try...or my neighbours will know..

There are some well known violinists from Mysore such as Mysore Nagaraj & Manjunath. Also H.K. Narasimha Murthy.

For a beginner, I am sure some of their students would be able to teach.

Unfortunately, I don't have any contact details.

luckily, when Nero fiddled, there were neither neighbors (good and bad) nor beginner fiddlers but for himself. And of course, he loved the music!

I hope the eager student realizes that we are only joking around and that we wish him luck in his learning to play the violin...
