I have observed that a combination search on google normally brings up what is posted in rasikas.org. I never thought that certain postings here would be excluded from google search. I will be careful hereafter. If it is an alternative, I can do without the lyrics. Many do. sorry for the trouble. I am gratified. thanks.

I have a copy of the book sarva samaya samarasa keerthanaikaL (Compositions of vedanAyakam piLlai) published by R.G.Pathi Company, Chennai-1 in 1971.
As per this reference the rAgam for this krithi is darbAr.Probably it would have been changed to sahAnA by some musician in later years.
In the lyrics posted in the thread I noticed two variations with reference to the book ;
charaNam2. line1.bAlarai kizhavarAy paNNiyE keDuppAy
charaNam4.line2. kaNam dinam mathi vAram ANDenakkiLaippAy

There are two more charanams given in the book which I am giving below:

There is a search button at the top, just under the rasikas banner, to the left of the tab for 'members' - members can (and should) use it to search if a particular topic has been discussed earlier. One has to be very creative with the spelling, for not everyone spells the same way!
