4. idako bida beda (?) - atana - adi - purandara dasa

5. durmarga chara - ranjani - rupakam - thyagaraja (alapana, N & S at paluku potini sabalona)

6. sri jalandhara - gambhira naatai - adi - jayachamrajya wodayar

7. chani todi - harikambhodi - adi 2 kalai - thyagaraja (alapana, neraval & swaram @ patitula broche & tani avarthanam)

I left at that time, since speech started...It is well known that speech is length, and it was already about 8.50pm, no scope for RTP.

Quite good song selection covering different composers, different raga bhavas, different tempos, could have been better to include different talas - either kanda / misra chapu. Mukhari kruti was very emotively sung, and next to that, i liked harikambodhi alapana. pakkavadhyams ably supported him

Hi Hari,

I liked the swara in chakravakam, ranjani alapana. Chani todi is a great song in HK, I have heard it from DKJ. And thanks to
SG for choosing this. Actually The alapana reply in Ranjani was very good too. As you mentioned the mukarai is complete
only with songs like Endraiku, especially the occassion being the upcoming mahasivarathri. May be a song at a moderate
speed would have made the concert more balanced. I also left at thani, actually I never heard RTP live from SG. The concert
was delayed due to the inagural function at 530pm and an unnecessary delay of 20 minutes from 610pm. May be someone in the
accompanyist didnot make it.

I have heard Jalandhara in Janaranjani also. Any idea where is thi gods shrine. May be I can avoid some goggling.

8. Gangadheeswaram - Sindhu Bhairavi - Guru Surajananda
9. Virutham - Kosalam, Thodi, Kapi, Behag
10. Irakkam Varamal - Behag - GB
11. Thillana - Pahadi - LGJ
12. Mangalam Kosalendraya, followed by Pavamana

Very lively concert

The organizer who was driven out by TMK last year,
cut short his speech to 10 minutes.
He wants to be poetic in Tamil, but keeps repeating same thing again and again.

Wish I had been there. Used to attend concerts in that venue until recent years. Distance is one thing. Traffic is another-making such long distances seem even longer--and late starts and long speeches makes one decide against taking such long treks...

Hari,
I think,if i am not mistaken this is a Neelakanda Sivan Composition.

I missed this but i could attend a very good concert by TS Pattabhirama Pandit at Unnati center accompanied by
TKV Ramanujacharyalu,UKS sir and Giridhar Udupa.
Awesome Saveri (Muruga Muruga) and Sankarabharanam (swara raga sudha rasa) and an outstanding Thani.
