During the introduction, organzier mentioned that he is agricultural scientiest and student of Neyyatinkara vasudevan. Neraval for Jagadanandakaraka was brief, but good. Some of the swaras, while beginning, he used the beginning phrases from chittaswaram. While singing sahitya, he didn't sing the chittaswarams, just sahitya.

Hi All,

I'm a new member of this great forum! Nice to see such informative descriptions and discussions around. Well, i'm also a hard core fan of this gentleman, Dr. Sreevalsan J Menon. I have been his fan ever since i heard his first carnatic album, "Monsoon Anuraga", which is a very rare and different collection of traditional krithis and poems based on different moods of rain. It was a smashing hit in Kerala.

I had attended this concert back in march. As u all said, it was a very nice concert. The one which i liked is Jagadanandakaraka and Saagara shyana vibho. It is one of his master piece i think. The beauty of Bagesree was well rendered. If u are interested in his classical albums, do not miss "Krishna -a musical reflection", "Shringaram- swathi tirunal poems collection". I'm out of bangalore now and really missing all those wonderful concerts. :(
