An expectedly scholarly presentation from Vidushi Sowmya, sprinkled with some relatively rare compositions, e.g. nORemi. Nice to hear an alapana of bindumAlini. The aThANa kriti had several interesting sangatis in the pallavi line. The main Shankarabharanam suite was handled with aplomb, topped by the lovely Mishra Chapu tani by Vidwan Narayanan. The hall was unbearably stuffy and acoustics so-so... given its prime location, one wishes the owners would spend a bit on upkeep ( replacing that moth-eaten stage curtain would be a good start
