Here is my attempt:

pallavi
ADuvOmE paLLu pAduvOmE Ananda sutantiram aDaindu viTTOm enru
(ADuvOmE)

Let us dance (ADuvOmE) and sing (pADuvOmE) songs/poems (paLLu) [1] describing (enra) how we have achieved (ADaindu viTTom) our goal of blissful (Ananda) independence (sut(d)antiram)!

caraNam 1
pArppanai ayyarenra kAlamum pOccE veLLaip-parangiyai duraiyenra kAlamum pOccE piccai
ErppAraip-paNiginra kAlamum pOccE tammai EippOrukkEval sheyyum kAlamum pOccE

That situation/time (kAlamum) is now no more (pOccE), when we: used to refer to (enra) the brahmins (pArpannai) as iyers (ayyar); used to refer to (enra) the fair (veLLai) foreigners (parangiyai) as masters (durai);
used to bow down (paNiginra) to beggars (piccai ErppArai); used to perform menial tasks (eval Seiyyum) for those that took advantage (eippOrkku) of us (tammai)!

caraNam 2
engum sutantiram enbade peccu nAm ellorum samam enbadurudiyAccu
shangu koNDE veTri UduvOmE idait-daraNikkellAm eDuttOduvOmE

The talk (pEccu) everywhere (engum) is about (enbadE) our independence (sutantiram)! The principle (enbadu) that all (ellOrum) of us (nAm) are equals (samam) has become firmly established (urudiAccu). Let us use (koNDE) a conch (Sangu) to proclaim/blow (UduvOmE) our victory (veTRi), and let us preach (eDuttu OduvOmE) this message (idai) (and our methods and success) to the entire (ellAm) world (dharaNikku).

caraNam 3
EllOrum onrenum kAlam vandadE poyyum EmATramum tolaiginra kAlam vandadE ini
nallOr periyOrenum kAlam vandadE keTTa naya vancakarararukku kAlam vandadE

The time (kAlam) has come (vandadE) when: we proclaim (enum) that all of us (ellOrum) are one (onru); lies (poyyum) and deceit (EmATRamum) have been defeated (tolaiginra); henceforth (ini), the virtuous (nallOr) among us are revered as (enum) the great ones (periyOr). It is also the time when the bad (keTTa) con men (vanjakarkku) who speak sweetly (naya) will come by their just desserts (kAlam vandadE).

caraNam 4
uzhavukkum tozhilukkum vandanai sheivOm vINil uNDu kaLittiruppOrai nindanai sheivOm
vizhalukku nIr pAicci mAyamATTOm verum vINarukkuzhaittuDalam OyamATTOm

We will bow down (vandanai SeiyvOm) to agriculture (uzhavukkum) and all other occupations (tozhilukkum), and censure or reproach (nindanai SeiyvOm) those that waste (vINil) their time eating (unDu) and making merry (kaLittu iruppOrai). We will not begrudge (mAyamATTom) the flow (pAicci) of water (nIr) to our crops (vizhalukku). We will not destroy/tire out (OyamATTOm) our bodies (uDalam) by working hard (uzhaittu) in the service of useless men (verum vINarukku).

caraNam 5
nAmirukkum nADu namadenbadarindOm idil namakke uriyadAm enbadarindOm
pArinil evarkkum aDimai sheyyOm paripUranNanukkE aDimai sheidu vAzhvOm

We have realized (arindOm) the fact (enbadu) that this country (nADu) in which we (nAm) reside (irukkum) is ours (namadu), and only we (namakkE) have rights (uriyadAm) in this land! We will never be anyone's (evarkkum) slave (aDimai SeiyyOm) in this wide world (pArinil) ever again, and will live our lives (vAzhvOm) by serving (aDimai Seiydu) only the Lord above (paripUraNanukkE).

[1] paLLu is a kind of dramatic poetry in tamizh.
