I reached halfway into the varNam, so there might've been a shlokam or a short sketch before it.
The kritis were all rendered at a leisurely tempo without rushing through, including sahasrakara, which I've heard in Adi-2 also. The neraval and swarams for pantuvarALi were excellent. Violinist gave good replies.
The AlApanai of vanaspati was nice, and the reply was very good. The kriti was very beautifully rendered.
mOkShamu galadA was rendered a little slower than I've heard. I realised I was sitting far from speakers and moved in closer: certain lines in the song have a much deeper impact if played a little more loudly, and I saw that impact was missing.

The initial few phrases of khpriya were a little hard for me to place, but in a short while the essence of khpriya was beautifully brought out in the essay. The violinist gave a nice khpriya. Neraval and swarams were excellent. Violinists replies matched well.
The tani was good, but seemed speeded up from the song.
The sowkhyam in this youngster's music is amazing, and beats all expectations. The violinist and the mridangist did nothing to disturb this sowkhyam, and followed wisely and aptly.

If Nick reads this: I saw the two kittens (the brown-and-white and the black-and-white) playing together.
