It was a good concert. The AlApanais of kalyANi, sAmA and bEgaDa were all quite elaborate and very heavy and fitting for the songs that were rendered. The kriti renditions were very weighty. The neraval and svarams were all very good and done in a very emotive fashion. The accompanists were very good and did a wonderful job in accompanying for all the kritis and during their solo versions. Overall a very enjoyable concert.

It was a phenomenal presentation. The best vibratto among carnatic musicians today.

The kalyANi AlApanai from the vocalist was very good, and somewhat differently structured. Shri Varadarajan gave a fitting reply.

The sAmA AlApanai was again very, very creative, and imparted some new looks to the rAga.

These kritis had superb neravals and excellent swarams, to which the violinist gave able replies. Shri Varadarajan's sAmA AlApanai was carefully developed, cleverly including some of the creative phrases Shri Prasanna employed, while also sounding like the familiar sAmA.

Begada AlApanai was also fine. Violinist gave a brilliant reply.

I had to leave just as the neravals and swarams for it commenced.

Kritis were rendered at suitable tempos, with all sangatis falling in place.
