hi can any one explain about gati.....is gati and gati beadham are same ? i am not clear abt that...if any one know pls explain

as i understand the number of aksharas or counts per beat is referred to as gati. For example- if is 4 aksharas per beat it is Chaturashra gathi and if it is 5 aksharas per beat it is Khanda gathi and so on. Gathi bedham would refer to change in the gathi [ counts per beat ] between succesive beats or angas in a tala.
