There is also a rendition by Smt. Vedavalli in adi talam as opposed to the more conventionally sung adi [tisra gati]. It is essential listening...

As per my information from my Guru Smt. Vedavalli, the correct talam for this song is adi. The tisra gati pATAntara is a later development...

Ive seen this being rendered in roopaka talam. Tisra nadai adi talam and roopaka talam will end up equating to the same number of aksharams.
