Srikantha Niyeda in Bhavapriya

In Srikantha Niyeda in the raga Bhavapriya, why is the sahitya split as 'SrikanthaNi yadabaladi bala'? Most musicians seem to sing it this way. I looked up the meaning and it seems to me that Niyeda is a separate word. Shivkumar's site also seems to split the words this way in the notation - http://www.ecse.rpi.edu/Homepages/shivk ... kantha.htm. What am I missing?

What you are telling is absolutely right.
It should be sung as,
"shri kAntha nIyeda balathibala" because balathibala is one word which refers to the "Bala Athibala" mantras that were taught to Lord Rama and Lord Lakshmana by Sage Vishwamitra.
"nIyeda" should be sung separately. I don't know for sure but I think "nIyeda" means Aren't?
The line's meaning is:
"O Beloved of Lakshmi! Aren’t the two mantras - Bala and Atibala with You with a flourish? Is there any dispute? "
