Hi,

Can someone please help with the word-by-word translation of this charanam? It's from Lalgudi's desh thillana.

thanjam nin padam dayALa ini anjAEl endrAdharavOduruLvAi
konjum vaLLi kunjari kaNava senjAEvaLasurakAvalavela

Thanks!

I have re-split the words so that they make sense.

tanjam nin padam dayALA, ini anjEl enru AdaravODu aruLvAi
konjum vaLLi kunjari kaNavA Sen SEvalA, sura kAvalA, vElA!

Oh Lord who wields a spear (vElA), the protector (kAvalA) of the gods (sura), one who has a red (Sen) rooster (SEvalA) on his flag, the husband (kaNavA) of the loving (konjum) vaLLI and dEvasEnA (kunjari)! Please bless/grant (aruLvAi) me with the assurance that henceforth (ini) I will have no need to experience fear (anjEl) after having sought refuge (tanjam) at your (nin) feet (padam).
